1. Types of learning on the Platform
In line with the NeLC classification, we offer two primary modes:
- Synchronous: live sessions where the learner and the instructor meet at a scheduled time (workshops, discussions, consultations).
- Asynchronous: recorded courses that the learner consumes at their own pace, with interactive activities and tasks.
- Blended: courses combining both — recorded content plus periodic live sessions.
2. Synchronous attendance
Definition of "present"
- Joining the session within the first 10 minutes.
- Remaining for at least 80% of the session duration.
- Engaging at least once (a question, a text comment, a poll vote, a response to the instructor).
- Turning the camera on for sessions that explicitly require it.
Late / absent
- Late: joining after 10 minutes and before 30 minutes (counted as half attendance).
- Absent: joining after 30 minutes, or leaving before completing 80% of the session.
3. Asynchronous attendance
Measured by actual activity within the Platform, not merely by opening the page:
- Completing a defined percentage of lesson videos (verified through embedded checkpoints).
- Answering the embedded interactive questions.
- Submitting assignments on time.
- Participating in text discussions or the course forum.
- Completing the short quizzes for each unit.
4. Tracking mechanism
The Platform automatically records:
- Sign-in and sign-out times, and total active minutes.
- Video watch checkpoints completed.
- Answers to embedded interactive questions.
- Dates and content of discussion contributions.
- Assignment submission dates.
These records are displayed transparently in your Learner dashboard, and you may review them at any time.
5. Minimum required
To earn a completion certificate, the following must be met:
- 80% of asynchronous content (videos and readings).
- 75% of live sessions (where applicable).
- 100% of core assignments submitted.
- 70% or higher in the final assessment.
Some courses may set different thresholds — these are indicated on the course page prior to enrollment.
6. Excuses and exemptions
Documented excuses are accepted in the following cases:
- Medical conditions: with an approved medical report.
- Bereavement (first or second-degree relative): with a death certificate.
- Sudden official obligations: with documentation (deployment, summons, etc.).
- Academic or professional travel: with an official document.
Excuses must be submitted within 5 working days of the session date to support@mashroalomr.com. When accepted, the learner is given alternative content or a rescheduling — without effect on the attendance percentage.
7. Technical issues
If you encounter a technical problem during a session:
- Notify support immediately via the live chat.
- Platform logs are counted in your favour where the disconnection is verified.
- Live sessions are always recorded — you can watch them later, and they count for 50% of attendance if you cannot attend live due to a fault on our side.
- If the fault is recurring on our side (greater than 30% of the session), the session is cancelled and rescheduled.
8. Consultation attendance
- Punctuality is essential. Arriving more than 10 minutes late counts as absent.
- Rescheduling is possible more than 24 hours before the session at no charge.
- Cancellation more than 24 hours before: full refund or rescheduling.
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before: the session is counted in full.
- Mentor absence: full refund + a substitute session + goodwill credit.
9. Effects of low attendance
- First warning: upon reaching 50% of the required minimum.
- Second warning: upon reaching 30% of the required minimum — accompanied by a call from the support team to understand the obstacles.
- Certificate ineligibility: if the required percentages are not met by the end of the course.
- Re-enrollment: available at a reduced fee, or free of charge for documented circumstances.
10. Privacy in monitoring
Tracking is limited to quality purposes only and is governed by our Privacy Policy:
- We do not record anything outside the Platform (not your browser, not your other activity).
- Visual proctoring during examinations takes place only with your explicit consent before the exam.
- Attendance records are retained for 24 months only, in line with the certificate verification period.
- Your records are not shared with any third party except at your request, or to issue an accredited certificate.
